In the First TrainCam video those bright spots between the tracks are the LED IR emitters (clear LED), part of the IR sensors to keep track of where the trains are located. By design the "spy camera" is sensitive to IR.
Time has come to:
Adjust the height of the IR emitters to hide them
Drop the IR receivers down the holes so ambient light has less effect (?)
Relocate the 'joint' between track blocks 12-and-13 and blocks 15-and-16. The semaphores on the outside of the ends of the large oval musts be moved so the signals do not hang over the edge of the layout. This will also relocate the IR sensors. Talking about the CCW end of blocks 13 and 16. If the semaphore hangs over the edge of the layout base it will be damaged when the base is raised.
Updated Software. JMRI and Arduino IDE.
Need to fix the joint at the end of turnout #1. Locos go from the curved track, block 16, to the turnout almost all the time. CamCar not so much.
Done.
Thinking about a TrainCam 'Grand tour' the reality of Königsberg comes up again. No matter how you cut it, if there are more than 2 nodes with an odd number of links you cannot do a grand tour or Eulerian path.
Simulator work:
Got the error messages to work again.
Made some adjustments to ledger location.
Things run beginning to end. Not fully tested.
Simulator context documentation now out of date.
Simulator "Quick start" video needs updating.
Version #2 of the simulator uploaded. Documentation to follow.
