Could we ever witness a sentient AI take control of a train within the Train Thing Simulator, leading to unpredictable and thrilling adventures? Or is the current programming limited to human-like decision-making?

Is the Future of Model Railroading Digital?
As technology advances, do you think traditional model railroading is at risk of being overshadowed by digital simulations and virtual experiences? How can we ensure that the tactile joy of physical trains remains relevant in a world increasingly enamored with virtual reality?

Model railroading is a hobby. Any implementation a hobbyist chooses will be relevant to them or replaced/changed to meet their needs/desires, tactile or otherwise.
